This is one of my all-time favorite heritage photos. Mary Jane Eldridge was my great-grandmother, born in 1866 and died in 1932 in Kentucky. Genealogical records say she died of stomach cancer.

Although she died when she wasn't much older than I am now, I am amazed at the work and worry that shows on her face and her gnarled hands.

Perhaps that is why I love heritage photos so much. They give us a glimpse of the life our ancestors lived and add some understanding and appreciation of our own lives today.

Please join me in sharing YOUR favorite heritage photo. I can look at them for hours, and so want to see YOURS!

I used Irene O'Neill's beautiful "Elizabeth Christina" kit and Lianne Carper's Aged Frames.

Oh Monna this is a beautiful heritage page!! I agree it is wonderful to look at them and then appreciate the easier life we have today...even though we sometimes don't think we do. I love the gorgeous aged frames that you used. Excellent heritage scrap!! Love it!! TFS!!

GORGEOUS page and what a beautiful photo! Isn't it amazing how much older our grand parents and great drands always look then we are at their same age. I wonder why? Did they work harder than we did? Lifestyles sure were different. We have it made these days compared to generations before.

This is beautiful, Monna! You do such great work. What an amazing photo to have.

So sorry I missed the crop. I'll take my 40 lashes with a wet noodle now!
