My gorgeous wife came to me earlier with this old photo of her, Jason and Justin, that has aged quite a bit (the boys are grown men now) and wanted to know if it could be recolored. I thought it would be a great project, so I scanned it into Photoshop and was going to try out hand coloring it, but to my sheer amazement, the old color photo had all that was needed to simply use a color balance adjustment and pop the colors that actually exist in the original, just not visible to the naked eye. We are both WOWED!
This has been a real lesson to me that many old photos probably ought to get scanned and rebalanced. They'll make keepsakes look more like they originally did! Don't tell Linda, but I'm gonna order a large printing of this and hang it up while she's at work and see how long after she gets home that she gasps in amazement!!! It's one of our most favorite pictures!
