Never would I had imgined I would have ended up in the hospital for the holidays, let alone amongst my fellow “service men and women” from wars prior. It gave me a better sense of appreciation for the holidays, and the just knowing that there are some that do not have family that come to visit them, and all they have are the nurses and doctors that have become like their familly. To see so many decorated trees throughout the hospital, it was really nice, and you didn’t hear as many unhappy patients as you normally did on any other given day. I think I was the only one with dampened spirits. This was the tree on 2A (my floor). So pretty!
