I blended several papers from Aja Abney's MARYANN ROSE PaperPack for my background and for my old heritage photos I used Vinatge Frames Created by Digiscrap.ch Collaboration from Syl and Loloden. I then added wonderful elements from the MARYANN ROSE kit by Aja Abney with my newspaper clipping I had saved from the Grayson County News-Gazette May23, 1985. I added the Kiper name atop the article title using the MARYANN ROSE Alpha by Aja Abney, and to add further emphasis I extracted a portion of the Glitter Wave from the CatScrap Moving Freebie by Madame Mim. I also sprinkled some of the Silver Shimmer by Syrin from CatScrap in different areas.

Additional elements:

Gold ribbon and shimmer which I extracted from the frame of the TENDER LOVE kit by Aja Abney; Autumn Blooms Beaded Wire by Tracy Blankesnhip - I also extracted the blue beads from this wire for additional bling; Journaling Circle Doodle by Tracy Blankenship; Tag and Pin from the INVOGUE ScrapArtist Collab Kit; Diamond Bling by Carrie Stephens.

a portion of the Newspaper Article reads:

The Kiper family was among the first pioneers of Grayson County. George Frederick Kiper, a Private in the Revolutionary War, was stationed at Fort Pitt, then Yohogania County, Virginia, now Pittsburg Pa, in 1777 and 1778. With his wife, Elizabeth, and four children, they were planning to migrate to Kaintuck, then part of Virginia. While still in the service, George Frederick as killed by the Indians in October of 1778 as their migration began. Elizabeth was scalped in the same attack but lived. Wearing a turban type head covering, she came to Kentucky with her children, Henry, Frederick and Jacob; the fourth child is not identified.

I am the 5th Great Granddaughter of George Frederick and Elizabeth Kiper, the first in a long line of my ancestral heroes.
