Spring can really help cure all...

My Mother was officially diagnosed with Altzheimer's about 2003 but she had been suffering with the beginning of the disease for a period of time before that. For the past year, her condition has steadily worsened, and now we have been told her time is near. As with everything in my life, digi-scrapping is my therapy...my way of maintaining a hold onto sanity. Here is a page on my feelings of today.

Journaling reads,

"Mother's last days-her time is drawing near and I am doing my best. I said my good-byes to

my Mother months ago and I do not need to bear witness to the death of the old woman in the

nursing home. Rather, I will remember her final days

as those when I was staying with her, when we took walks and enjoyed the flowers, when

we laughed, and when we cried, together...as friends"

I used Those Irish Eyes by BooLand Designs at Stone Accents Studio for my background and I made my ribbons from those papers. I used the stitching from the top of the belt from this kit for my stitching binding edge. I also used papers and elements from Lorenza Bella's Luck of the Irish from

Sophia Sarducci. The flowers are from Pulling Weeds and Grandmothers Garden by Jen Ulasiewicz Designs. The button and button stitch is from the

Bunches of Buttons freebie from Weeds and Wildflower; Syrin's Silver Shimmer from Catscrap; Madame Mim's Moving freebie from Catscrap and Stitching by Tracy Blankenship
