Journaling reads:

Email, March 20, 2005: Joey and Michael have

been acting funny about sleeping lately. Michael

claims his bed is scary and he refuses to sleep on

it -- he wants to sleep on the floor instead.

Joey can never seem to stay on his bed. I guess

because he slept on the bottom of our big bunkbed

for so long, his body just can't seem to handle the

confinement of his race car bed. His legs are always hanging off one side or another.

This week, the boys solved their sleeping problems

by sneeking into Lillian's room and falling asleep

there. We laughed when we discovered them in

there. This is not the first time Joey's done

this; we found him curled up at Lillian's feet like a

little dog just two weeks ago. He also likes to sleep

on the recliner in there, which has caused me

a surprise a time or two when I go in there at night to

feed the babies (No, I did not accidentally sit on him,

although I got pretty close!)

Journaling, May 29: We haven?t had too many

sneeky slumber parties lately, and we solved

some of the problem with them by letting the

boys sleep with their lightsabers. With a

lightsaber at his side, what boy can fear monsters?

They do tend to wake up at night more than they

should, and we are probably going to buy a double

bed for them soon.

But slumber parties aren?t our only sleep sagas.

Our kids sleep in the funniest positions. I couldn?t

believe it one night when I found Lillian asleep

with her head near the floor a few months ago.

All of the elements here are my own design.

Kids can sleep anywhere--my littlest grandson went to sleep on the couch and fell off--needless to say he didn't wake up LOL, he just kept right on sleeping.
