A Soldier Dreams



..of the soft touch of his wife

and the laughter of his children.

He closes his eyes and he can

smell the lake and the fish.

He longs to see the green leaves

in the forest as they change

with the fall frost. He prays

that he is able to go safely home

and he imagines the joy on his

family's faces when he steps

off that bus. He dreams of

buying a new boat and

when it all comes true,

he lives happily ever after
