I don't know if you have magic lilies where you live, but they are plain different and if you have them you know what I mean. They come up in the spring with tons of green foliage, like daffodils do, but don't flower. Soon,the foliage turns yellow and then brown and just dies off. When the foliage gets yucky like that, I cut it all off level to the ground. And thats it. Nothing else happens. Most of the summer will go by and then in mid- August, where there was nothing whatsoever, the magic lilies appear overnight on 2 1/2 ft stems. One day nada, and the next day, there they are. Hence, magic!
